Schroders strengthens investment leadership team to drive Public Markets growth

NEWS RELEASE - 25 November 2025

Schroders, a global leader in active asset management, today announces the appointment of Dan Morris as Head of Investment. This strategic role will drive innovation, building on the firm’s existing market-leading capabilities to support the delivery of bespoke client solutions across Public Markets at scale.

Dan, who has previously worked at Schroders, will return to the firm reporting into Johanna Kyrklund, Group Chief Investment Officer. He brings a wealth of experience across quantitative investing, client-focused solutions and the development of scalable technology platforms at leading global firms, most recently as Chief Investment Officer, Systematic Investments, at Allspring Global Investments.

In this new role, Dan will bring together many of Schroders’ strengths in active management, including strategic modelling, asset allocation, derivatives, quantitative techniques and sustainable investment. Utilising technology such as AI, he will play a critical role in transforming how we scale the delivery of these capabilities into bespoke client solutions through our operating and technology platform.

Schroders has experienced strong growth in delivering tailored solutions for clients. Its Equity Solutions team was instrumental in delivering the €3.9 billion PGGM mandate, while its fully integrated Solutions team delivered over £6 billion of net inflows in Q3 2025.

Johanna Kyrklund, Group CIO, Schroders said: “We are delighted to welcome Dan back to Schroders. He is a highly experienced quant investor and his innovative approach and client-focused mindset will be invaluable as we build on our market-leading capabilities to scale our platform and support continued growth.
“As a key member of our Public Markets leadership group, Dan will play an important role in helping us deliver excellent investment performance and strengthening our position as a leading global active investment manager. Staying close to our client needs is critical and Dan’s experience will help us break new ground in delivering value for clients worldwide.”

Dan has held executive leadership roles at Wells Fargo Asset Management and was part of the executive team that established its spin-off Allspring Global Investments. As CIO, Systematic Investments, at Allspring, he led a global team and oversaw the strategy to deliver highly customised portfolios at scale. He also led the firm’s UK office. Dan spent much of his early career at Schroders, where he managed LDI Solutions in London and US Portfolio Solutions in New York.

Dan Morris, incoming Head of Investment, Schroders, commented: “Schroders is one of the most respected investment brands globally, with innovative capabilities and deep client relationships. The opportunity to return to such an incredible team of investors, to scale its capabilities and contribute to the growth of the business globally is an exciting opportunity and I’m looking forward to rejoining the team in 2026.”

Dan will officially rejoin Schroders on 5 January 2026.
